The Maintenance Guidelines listed below will ensure years of worry free service for your screens.
• Clear View Retractable Screen™ Systems should be fully retracted into their protective housing when not in use. This will prevent unnecessary buildup of dust and debris on the screen material.
• Although the Clear View Retractable Screen™ System features the Safe Glide safety feature, any spring loaded system will retract if the mesh is lightly bumped. Do not push mesh to release the magnetic latch; this may damage the mesh.
• When retracting the screen, ensure the mesh rolls in evenly. Retracting the product with creases in the screen may cause wrinkles.
• Clear View Retractable Screen™ Systems are intended to provide reasonable insect control. They are not intended to retain or secure animals or persons inside or outside of your home. • Clear View’s™ unique Teflon™ process makes our product virtually maintenance free. Ensure tracks are kept free of dirt and debris which may cause the screen to perform poorly.
• Screen Mesh, Housing Tracks and Pull Bars can be cleaned with water and a soft cloth. We do not recommend using a pressure washer or chemicals. A mild detergent such as dish soap should be used for this purpose. After cleaning the Screen Mesh, allow it to dry before retracting it back into the housing.
• It is normal for the Screen Mesh to "sail" under windy conditions, which may cause the mesh to pull out of the track. When the wind subsides manually push the screen mesh into the track.
• Clear View Retractable Screen™ Systems should be retracted in in excessive wind conditions (such as a violent storm). Excessive wind loads may affect the ability of the unit to operate correctly.
